You can expect any kind of weather in Iceland, and your tours might be canceled with short notice due to weather. Your safety is our number one priority! This tour can change depending on weather conditions, so this tour needs to be flexible.

**to scuba dive you must meet certain criteria. Please see below criteria for scuba diving (forms sent with confirmation email);

Scuba Diving Important Information

  • be a certified diver at the level of PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent (can be arranged by Let’s Get Lost prior the trip, please get in touch)

  • have dry suit diving certification and a logged dry suit dive within two years of the tour date OR have at least 10 logged dry suit dives within two years of the tour date and be able to provide written proof from a diving instructor of these dry suit dives (can be arranged by Let’s Get Lost prior the trip, please get in touch)

  • have read, signed, and followed directions on the online Medical Statement (link provided in confirmation email)

  • have our Diving Medical form signed off by a doctor if they are age 60 or older

  • sign our liability release form

  • be at minimum 150cm / maximum 200cm

  • be at minimum 45kg / maximum 120kg

  • fit within our dry suit size chart

  • be at least 17 years of age (signature of legal guardian required for under 18 year old participants)

  • be physically fit

  • be able to communicate in English

  • be ready to wear a sometimes tight & constricting dry suit

  • not be pregnant


Iceland Adventure FAQ

  1. What are the flight estimates and where from/to? London (LHR) to Reykjavik airport (KEF) August - £163 return (price checked December 2018).

  2. Can you come on your own? Yes, the trips are designed for solo and group travellers

  3. Can you bring a group? Yes, the trips are designed for solo and group travellers

  4. Accommodation set up/where is it? The rooms are shared between 2-5 people in each room. Own accommodation is available at an extra fee (£450), the hotel is based in Reykjavik (details in confirmation email).

  5. Type of travel insurance - please get insurance which covers you for all activities listed.

  6. Time of arrival? You can either come earlier (transport not included from airport) and meet at the hotel at 3pm (given in confirmation email) on the 21st October. Or if you fly into Reykjavik airport on the 21st October, transport will be included and you will be taken to the hotel for meet & greet. Please supply us with your flight details once confirmed.

  7. Is there transport from the airport and back? Yes, pick up and drop off is arranged and included in price.

  8. Is food included? Breakfast is included in the hotel, but other food is not included.

  9. Experience needed? If you have experience great but it is not needed for all. The one exception in Scuba Diving (see above in the Scuba Diving Important Information section), This can be arranged by Let’s Get Lost prior the trip date.

  10. Can you do some things but not others? If you have a medical condition or truly do not wont to do a certain activity please get in touch.

  11. What is the general age range? We get a wide range of people coming on these holidays from 18-60, but if outside this age bracket you can still come you will just need some extra paperwork.

  12. What is the group set up/Itinerary for the holiday? You will be split in to groups of between 5-10 depending on activity and your group. Each group will have one of our tour guides as well as instructors and guides from the activity organiser. You will be doing one activity a day which ranges from a full day to a half day, you will have one rest day in the middle where you can decide to do the optional extra activity, explore the city or relax and unwind.

  13. What if one of the activities gets cancelled due to weather? If the activity has to be cancelled due to weather we will aim to reschedule during the week. If this is not possible then a refund will be given appropriate to that activity minus any admin cost.

  14. Do I have to share a room? No, if you need some along time then you can upgrade and add a non-shared room for an extra fee of £450.
